Dairy: Ages and stages

From our first taste of food, into childhood, the teenage years and adult life, dairy products are a central part of a healthy, balanced diet for everyone. Thanks to the wide range of nutrients they provide, they can be even more important at certain times of life, too. For example, during childhood and the teenage years, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding, our needs for certain nutrients may be higher. Similarly, we may need to pay more attention to what we eat in our more senior years to offset some of the natural changes that happen in our body as we get older.

Milk, cheese and yogurt are packed with a variety of nutrients, making them a great choice to help us get all the nutrients we need at every stage of life, whether we’re young, senior or anywhere in between. Plus, they’re convenient, versatile and very tasty.
