Mac'n'Cheese with British cheeses

This mouth-watering creamy Mac’n’Cheese is made using your favourite British cheeses. So easy to prepare and ready to serve in no time.

Ingredients
  

  • 350g macaroni
  • 30g butter
  • 30g plain flour
  • 400ml whole milk
  • 100g mature Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 100g Red Leicester cheese, grated
  • 100g Caerphilly cheese, grated
  • 1tsp Garlic powder
  • 1tsp Mustard powder
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to the pack instructions.

While the pasta is cooking

  • Melt the butter in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the flour and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly and heat until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove pan from the heat, toss in the cheeses, garlic powder and mustard powder, and season with salt and black pepper. Whisk until the cheese is melted.
  • Drain the pasta then add to the cheese sauce.
  • Serve immediately.
