
Mac'n'Cheese with British cheeses
This mouth-watering creamy Mac’n’Cheese is made using your favourite British cheeses. So easy to prepare and ready to serve in no time.
Ingredients
- 350g macaroni
- 30g butter
- 30g plain flour
- 400ml whole milk
- 100g mature Cheddar cheese, grated
- 100g Red Leicester cheese, grated
- 100g Caerphilly cheese, grated
- 1tsp Garlic powder
- 1tsp Mustard powder
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to the pack instructions.
While the pasta is cooking
- Melt the butter in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the flour and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly and heat until the sauce thickens.
- Remove pan from the heat, toss in the cheeses, garlic powder and mustard powder, and season with salt and black pepper. Whisk until the cheese is melted.
- Drain the pasta then add to the cheese sauce.
- Serve immediately.
